The trendy Hotel Not Hotel was created by a group of young designers including Collaboration-O, Arno Coenen and IRIS. The lobby is an art-filled exhibition space, and each guest room is individually decorated and has its own story and identity. Features include an Amsterdam tram cart and secret book cases. All rooms have free WiFi and shared bathrooms. The onsite Kevin Bacon Bar is open every evening between Tuesday and Sunday, serving Thai food and expertly crafted cocktails.

Getting Around

Amsterdam is the city of cycling and two wheels are an ideal way to get around the city. However, in winter and as a tourist you might prefer to use the efficient public transport network which can get you wherever you need to go in a jiffy. There's an underground metro, trams, ferrie, busses and trains which can all be accessed using the OV-Chipkaart (the Netherland's version of and Oyster card). There are also quick and frequent trains to the airport which cost €4.20 each way. For tips on getting from Amsterdam Airport to your hotel, have a look at Rome2Rio.
