We're kicking it off with Newcastle and have chosen the Novotel Hotel Newcastle (4/5 TripAdvisor) which is located just a short metro train ride from the city centre. The hotel offers a great swimming pool, gym, 24 hour reception, restaurant and bar. Newcastle is the perfect place to enjoy New Year's Eve, there are many bars and clubs and drinks are reasonable prices.

London is known for being an expensive place to stay so you can keep the costs down by staying a bit out of the city centre. We have come across the Park Plaza London Park Royal which scores a really amazing 4.5/5 TripAdvisor so you know you are staying somewhere really great.

For Manchester how about staying in the Travelodge Manchester Central which is really well rated and scores 4/5 TripAdvisor and has won a Certificate of Excellence. We all know what we are getting with a trusty Travelodge and they are the prefect way to keep costs down while still having a comfortable stay.

Cardiff can sometimes be forgotten as a city trip destination but it has so much to offer. We have sniffed out the Ibis Cardiff (3.5/5 TripAdvisor) which is centrally located with easy access to the city, Cardiff offers many bars, restaurants and is great for shopping - why not treat yourself.

Glasgow is a great city and offers hotels at reasonable prices, such as Ibis Glasgow City Centre which scores a great 4/5 TripAdvisor. Glasgow is such a friendly city and there are many awesome places you can celebrate the New Year.

If you are looking for super cheap bus fares within the UK National Express will most certainly have a cheap fare for you, the key is book in advance to benefit from their saver rates.
