Start off your winter wonderland adventure with one night and two days exploring the gorgeous Swedish capital, with excellent shopping, dining and sightseeing right on your doorstep from your super central hotel. In the evening stroll over to the train station and board the overnight train to Lapland. You will be sleeping in a private berth for 2 ppl arriving in the morning in Kiruna ready to seize the day! We opted for 1 night sleeping in a cold room made of ice, and the following night sleeping in a warm room, but you can of course adjust as you prefer!
The hotel is situated in the tiny village of Jukkasjarvi and there's excellent dining and drinking on-site. You will have breakfast included in your stay along with free sauna access perfect to warm up after a long day of fun in the snow!
You will fly back to the UK from Kiruna airport with a trunk full of unforgettable memories of this once in a lifetime experience. Remember to pack thermal underwear (preferably wool), breathable layer clothing, plenty of socks (again, preferably wool, rather than cotton or synthetic), and a warm hat. From/to airport
It's really easy to get to the airport from your hotel! You could get a bus which stops right outside and takes about 45 minutes, or a cab taking about 15 minutes. The journey from the train station to the Icehotel takes about 20 minutes by taxi or 50 minutes by bus.
