About the hotel
The Principal Manchester is an unmistakable landmark in Manchester. With its clock tower and Victorian architecture, the listed building is well-known by many in the city. It originally opened its doors in 1890, as The Refuge Assurance Company headquarters. It was very recently converted to the 5* hotel it is now, having received a £25 million makeover, and has received much praise since from the likes of The Times and The Telegraph.
It's located opposite Oxford Road Station and is a 10-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly. Rooms are modern and spacious and have free Wi-Fi and a 42″ smart TV. There is an award-winning dining space called The Refuge at Volta which is comprised of a bar, restaurant and winter garden.
