Uber Eats cycle courier leaves child seriously injured

A collision with an Uber Eats delivery cyclist has left a child with a suspected fractured skull.

The incident happened in New George Street, Plymouth on April 9th at around 3pm. The paramedics and the police were both in attendance.

The young girl was initially taken to Derriford Hospital and then subsequently transferred to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children after it was established that she had a serious head injury. It is unclear as to whether the child has been discharged from hospital as yet.

Witnesses identified the cyclist as an Uber Eats delivery cyclist. A spokesperson for Uber Eats has confirmed that they will assist the police in their enquiries.
