A Newcastle cabbie has been attacked by a man "charging" at him with a knife.
The cabbie, who was driving through the Benwell area of Newcastle upon Tyne, when a man armed with a bladed weapon attacked the glass of the Peugeot vehicle, and tried to stab the driver through his window.
It is believed that the incident occured after the cabbie narrowly missed hitting the knifemans dog as it ran into the road.
The driver was said to be shaken but unhurt, with the vehicle also receiving minimal, superficial damage.
The incident took place on 19th November at around 11.30am in Armstrong Road.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information should call 101 quoting log .
