Dashcam footage reveals the terrifying moment a cabbie is robbed at knifepoint by his passenger

In-car CCTV footage shows the moment a cab driver is held up and robbed at knifepoint by his passenger.

The footage shows the driver pulling up at the desired destination of his passenger during a late night shift.

Once the vehicle is stationery, the passenger, who is sitting directly behind the driver, reaches around the drivers seat and holds a large blade to the driver’s throat.

The terrifying moment caught on the vehicle's dashcam highlights the very real dangers taxi and private hire drivers face on a daily basis.

The driver appears to attempt to create distance between the blade and his throat before his attacker demands him to hands over all his money.

The attacker then exits the cab and runs out of shot, leaving the driver shaken.

Although not confirmed yet, the incident appears to of taken place in Dublin, Ireland.
